Electabuzz Society: gender roles

I am not the best at worldbuilding, and, like was mentioned, this only applies to the society where Lira came from. I plan to make a story about her past, which will go into more detail about these scattered 'buzz tribes. Another thing I didn't go into detail is physical differences. On the whole, males and females don't really differ in size or appearance besides females having a lot more fluff. More due to lifestyle than actual build, females also tend to be more athletic and slightly less corpulent, though (in my headcanon), all Electabuzz and ilk have thick, rubbery fat to protect their vital organs from their own electricity. A thin 'buzz would be just as strange to see as a thin whale or seal, haha.
